From Blue Hill village drive up Tenney Hill (Route 172) into the round-a-bout.  Take the third exit onto South Street, Route 172-S and Route 175-S.   You will see Tradewinds Marketplace on your right.  This is the last grocery store you'll go by before arriving at your rental.  After 2.5 miles, turn left onto Route 176.  Drive 9.3 miles to Brooklin Village.  Drive past the Brooklin General Store, staying on Route 175, which is also now the Reach Road, and drive 1.3 miles.  You will see a small sign "Evergreen Farm" on the right.  Just past this sign you will turn left onto Bayberry Point Lane.   Drive  0.1 miles all the way to the end of the road.  You will see Jennifer's Cottage straight ahead.  Park at the end of the driveway right by the cottage or look for the parking sign on the right by the big trees to park.  The land to the left of the driveway belongs to a neighbor and cannot be used to park or turn around on and can also be wet, allowing for ruts.  There are markers to indicate the neighbors land.  Landline:  207-359-2542

Would definitely stay here again!

This cottage will meet any expectations you will have. Its views are outstanding and the cozy feel to the cottage will leave you feeling right at home. The hosts are very responsive and give a multitude of suggestions for possible activities during your stay. They were great accommodating my dog and threw in a special surprise for him. Would definitely stay here again!

We spent 2 weeks at Jennifer's Cottage at the end of the summer. It was a peaceful, wonderful experience. Our dogs swam, we canoed, and generally enjoyed being at the water's edge on the Eggemoggin Reach. The sunsets were really lovely. The cottage is rustic enough to be fun, yet well-appointed enough to be very comfortable. Initially I was concerned about not having a full-size refrigerator, but the 2 small ones worked out fine. It's easy to get to Blue Hill for shopping and there are loads of things to do in the area. The nearby hiking trails maintained by the Blue Hill Heritage Trust are wonderful, or you can go over to Acadia for more extensive hiking. We have friends who visited one afternoon with their kayaks and it is a perfect spot to put-in and explore the coast. We consider Jennifer's to be a real "find" and we will be back. The rental agents were great to work with, and all-in-all this is one of the best places we have rented in Maine...and we do this every summer. The only glitch was the pole marking the parking spot, unfortunately and un-necessarily located (in my opinion!); for a nasty scrape and dent on the passenger car door. Beware of it!

Cute, very clean and the views are absolutely stunning...

The cabin was so cute, very clean and the views were absolutely stunning. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and responsive to any questions. Highly recommend this cabin! Especially if you have dogs that love to swim. It was doggie paradise! This cabin truly was a little slice of heaven for both my husband and I and the dogs! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Perfect location

Location! This cabin is a prime example of the real estate saying. While it’s just a cabin – charming and well maintained – looking at the water on three sides is wonderful. When the tide is low the rocks and seaweed look nice too, and we enjoyed wandering through them. The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful, and looking across the water to Deer Isle is great too. We were there late enough in the year that we saw few boats, but we will be there earlier in the year next time. Enough platitudes, here’s some information: There’s no insulation or wallboard, pine boards substitute for some of the latter. It’s been lived in, but it’s clean and decorated in a way that we enjoyed. The artwork shows someone’s enjoyment of trips and chickens. There’s some nice (and quirky) pottery which is probably from the area; we found some similar work in the shops. There’s plenty of cookware, dishes, and glassware. I suspect that some of the supplies (popcorn!) reflect past renters’ preferences that they have left for others – this included bug repellent, sun tan lotion, and some water shoes. The beds are a bit firm, but comfortable. The bedding includes blankets and comforters, we used both at times. The shower is adequate; there was always hot water but the pressure varied a bit. The two mini refrigerators were unusual, but (again) adequate. We didn’t use the wood stove, but did use the through-the-wall gas heater; it was quiet and did its job. While we brought some food with us, we won’t next time. We drove by a grocery store and the Co-op in Blue Hill, and will stop at one on on the way there next time. If we were going to arrive late we’d use the rental agency’s shopping option. (By the way, they do a great job; good information and always responsive.) As I was writing this we booked for next year.

Thank you for your detailed review! It is very helpful to see the cabin through the eyes of our guests and this will help people thinking about renting it as well. You were a pleasure to host and we look forward to your return next year. Our best, Brenda and Chelsea

Wonderful Cottage

We enjoyed a wonderful escape to Jennifer's Cottage. The private cove was perfect for paddleboarding and even warm enough to swim in. From this cozy spot in Brooklin, we easily ventured to many points of interest in Blue Hill, Deer Isle, and also to Acadia -- for kayaking, hiking, shopping, and great dining. The cottage was a delight to return to after a busy day, especially with several live lobsters in hand. Many meals were enjoyed al fresco. The cabin is rustic but very clean and well appointed. Water views from three sides. We slept to the sounds of water lapping on shore and loons calling in the distance.

Thanks so much for providing your review! We're so happy you had a good stay at Jennifer's and visit to the area. Thanks also for taking such good care of the cottage. We'd love to host you again. Our best, Brenda and Chelsea
